Khaliji Arabian Dyar 27 A Partnership Strengthening the Tournament’s Presence in the Urban Development and Real Estate Landscape

Makkah, 15 September 2026
In a new milestone reflecting the growing prominence of the Gulf Cup and the expanding horizons of the tournament, the Gulf Cup Football Federation has announced a strategic partnership with Arabian Dyar Real Estate Development Company, one of the leading real estate developers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The partnership comes as Saudi Arabia prepares to host the 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, scheduled to take place in Jeddah from 23 September to 6 October 2026.
The signing ceremony, held at Dyar AlHaram within Masar Destination in Makkah, was attended by Mr. Jassim Sultan Al Rumaihi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cup Football Federation, and Eng. Muammar Alatawi, Chairman of Arabian Dyar Real Estate Development Company, alongside a number of officials and senior executives from both organizations and distinguished guests.
Under the agreement, the tournament will officially carry the name “Khaliji Arabian Dyar 27”, reflecting the stature the Gulf Cup has attained and its strong sporting, public, and media presence, as well as its significant commercial value and enduring popularity among the people of the region.
The partnership establishes a framework for collaboration between the Gulf Cup Football Federation and Arabian Dyar, contributing to the tournament’s visibility and activities while delivering an experience that reflects the heritage of the Gulf Cup and the ambitions of a region moving confidently toward the future.
The adoption of the name “Khaliji Arabian Dyar 27” represents one of the defining elements of the partnership, giving this edition a distinctive identity while highlighting the continued evolution of the tournament’s commercial partnerships and the growing confidence placed in the Gulf Cup as an established sporting event and a shared Gulf value that extends beyond football competition.
Mr. Jassim Sultan Al Rumaihi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cup Football Federation, said that the partnership with Arabian Dyar represents an important addition to the tournament and reflects the stature and confidence the Gulf Cup enjoys among leading institutions and companies. He noted that working with Arabian Dyar, with its strong presence in the real estate development sector, will contribute to enhancing the tournament’s profile and supports the Federation’s direction toward building effective and sustainable partnerships that serve the future of Gulf football.
Al Rumaihi also praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the tournament for the fifth time, noting that the Kingdom possesses all the capabilities required to deliver an exceptional edition, supported by its extensive resources, advanced infrastructure, and accumulated experience in hosting and organizing major sporting events. He added that these capabilities enhance the value of the hosting and raise expectations for the upcoming edition.
For his part, Eng. Muammar Alatawi, Chairman of Arabian Dyar Real Estate Development Company, said that sponsoring the tournament directly aligns with one of Arabian Dyar’s core values: “Youthful Spirit,” which represents ambition, vitality, and a passion for the future. He noted that Gulf societies are predominantly young, with youth representing the largest segment of their populations—values that are equally present in the Gulf Cup, which throughout its history has brought together generations and the people of the region around a sporting event that reflects their shared identity and spirit.
Alatawi added: “As we welcome our Gulf brothers and sisters to Jeddah and say, ‘Welcome to the Gulf’ to attend the tournament and enjoy its atmosphere, we also welcome them to own and invest in their second home, whether as a second residence or as an investment opportunity—particularly with the new regulations governing real estate ownership by non-Saudis coming into effect, creating broader opportunities for ownership and investment, including for citizens of the GCC countries.”
He noted that the new regulations allow Muslim individuals from around the world to own property in Makkah and Madinah, subject to the approved zones and applicable regulations. This, he said, opens new opportunities for investors and buyers while further strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global destination for real estate investment.
Alatawi explained that the Gulf Cup, featuring national teams from the GCC countries alongside Iraq and Yemen, represents a distinctive example of the historic and social ties that connect the peoples of the region. This closely aligns with Arabian Dyar’s vision of developing communities and destinations that embrace this human and economic connection, while reflecting the broader meaning of the name “Arabian Dyar” and its emphasis on the Arab identity and interconnectedness of the region’s peoples.
He further emphasized the particular significance of this stage for Arabian Dyar, given the company’s presence and projects across the Holy Mosques, Riyadh, and Jeddah, all within areas licensed for ownership by non-Saudis. The company, he added, is looking to offer distinctive real estate products that address the needs of a broader range of investors and buyers from the region and the wider Muslim world, in line with the transformation taking place across Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector.
Alatawi also highlighted the significance of selecting Dyar AlHaram in Makkah as the venue for signing the partnership. The location brings together a major Gulf and Arab sporting occasion with a new era of real estate and investment opportunities emerging in the Kingdom. It also reflects Arabian Dyar’s aspiration to play an active role in building broader bridges between the Kingdom and the peoples of the region, while strengthening the social, economic, and investment ties that connect them.
He added that the relationships between the peoples of the region extend beyond sport and investment to encompass deep social, cultural, and human connections. In this context, “Khaliji Arabian Dyar 27” represents an opportunity to celebrate these ties and bring them to life through a partnership that brings together sport, the economy, and society under one platform.
Khaliji Arabian Dyar 27 represents a continuation of the tournament’s rich legacy and its special place in the hearts of the people of the region, while also reflecting a new chapter in its evolution—bringing together a long-standing sporting heritage, strong public engagement, advanced institutional partnerships, and a Saudi-hosted edition driven by the ambition to deliver a tournament worthy of the Gulf Cup’s history and stature.
The upcoming edition underscores the Kingdom’s ability to create and host an exceptional sporting event of regional significance, while providing a platform that celebrates the enduring connections shared by the peoples of the Gulf and the wider Arab region.
